I've been useing the regular CCI Quiets solids on the line with good results, anyone use the segmented type ? Quicker dispatch ? Exit hole ? Damage / "mess"? Do they segment from a 6" barrel at 2' to 5' distance ? -Thanks

I've seen those but haven't tried them. I'd be concerned they may fragment to early on hitting bone.

I wonder how long it will be until we have another .22 ammo shortage.

I use them with good results over the last few years out of a long gun. Don't usually have an exit at all. I lung shot my coyotes and fox and it tips them over quick plus they are really quiet.

I use the 1050fps with good results shooting a pistol , even at 30 yards or so lung shot tipped them over!

The 710 FPS ones fall out of the sky pretty fast, but they still come apart and are deadly at surprisingly long distances.
I prefer the 1050 FPS version since they will cycle in my semi-auto.

Ive used the 1640 fps and they dont exit yotes or fox. They split into three pieces and dont exit the animal. Animal goes down fast.

Don’t use the 710 ones if you are making head shots except maybe squirrels I have had dismal performance with them on multiple occasions they work ok for heart lung shots though

head shots are if ya want a gallon of blood all over the area

heart shot canines barely bleed at all...…Hal Sullivan taught me this and its discussed on his site a bunch...not sure if you're thinking canine or not.

Head shots coons, heart shot K9. Looking for minimum pelt damage , but quick and clean
