I love reading books about nature and history from the west. I'm reading a book called "Being Mortal" and is written by a Medical Doctor. He describes the aging process and what we all will experience in life. A very good read so far with some great explanation to what happens to our body etc. as we age. A Best Seller 4 to 5 years ago.

What have you been reading??

America in Prophecy. Written in the 1800's by a Seventh- Day Adventist. Have learned a lot about the history of the early Roman Catholic Church and it's persecution of those spreading the Gospel/Bible. Pretty good read.

I use to love reading Stephen King, Sydney Sheldon, Dean Koontz and all sorts of outdoor related magazines, but then I started reading and writing in different forums on the internet and have pretty much forgotton what a paper book looks like..I like reading your posts, Snowy.

Just finished Dracul - written by Bram Stoker's Great, Great Grandson. Very good. They tried to recreate the first 100 pages that never made it into the first edition.

Picked up Roots by Alex Haley. Been sitting on my pile of to read books for a long time.

I just got done reading "The Lost City of Z" by David Grann.
It's a true story about an explorer searching for a lost city, in the Amazon, in 1925 and his disappearance.

I am now reading "The Making of the Atom Bomb", by Richard Rhodes.
It's about all the work that went into figuring out the atom and the people involved in nuclear fission and the making of the atomic bomb.

It's just amazing how smart those people were and what they could do even back in the late 1800's and early 900's.

Great read about early Wisconsin and more modern as well but very cool to read about the history of places I've explored all my life.

Just starting in on 4 Hunter Trader Trapper magazines. They are from 1932.
I find these old magazines fascinating.
