Leave your dogs at home. No Dogs allowed anywhere on the grounds. except for Service Dogs with proof

I am a dog lover, but I certainly understand the rule. Love me, love my dog is not for every one. Some people are afraid of dogs. Why people insist on bringing dogs into those crowded buildings is beyond me, and I'm not wild about stepping in dog poop that people fail to clean up. This rule has come down from the Fair Board, not NYSTA.Like I said, I do love dogs.

They will be checking at the gate also so you will not get in with a non-service dog.

This is a great new rule for the NYSTA convention.

It's gotten ridiculous dodging mounds of steaming dog manure on

the asphalt walkways at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds

during the trapper's convention.

People like bringing their beasts along with them

but don't think twice about leaving heaping piles of pungent excrement

while they share the joys of dog ownership with the general public.

It a rule that has been long overdue.

Kudos to Herkimer County for taking a stance.
