I just read Ron Cauble's column in Fur Taker magazine on selling roots. He mentions selling walnut leaves. I'd like to know more about that.
Tell me about collecting walnut leaves to sell?

Makes a great green tea, good for stomach and digestion. Harvest young leaves in May June and dry. I dry in newspaper between the pages in a hot automobile after a few days crumble them and store in a mason jar. Then boil water steep about 1-2 teaspoons of dried leaves add honey to taste drink hot or pour over ice for the best iced tea you will ever drink.

Cut right now they do a fine job of cooking rust off traps. High in tannin at this stage.Having seen them remove rust and turn traps blue black, I wouldn't be drinking that tea.
