I lost my hound last summer and am searching pretty hard for some bluetick pups. I live in north central nebraska so there is never anything local as there is very few people who hunt with hounds. So I am searching pretty much nebraska Kansas south Dakota Iowa or anywhere with a good set of pups. I have tried facebook but keep getting blocked from posting about puppies. Even if you know someone who may have some if you could let me know. I really missing following the sounds of a hound at night.

Man I miss having hounds, hearing that strike, then tree. I sure hope you get some great pups!
I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

Thanks guys. The pups are litter mates and come from a line out of central Utah. The main bloodline is Nance Walkers but apparently the old guy wasn’t afraid to throw something in there if he liked it. My female looks redbone, my male looks walker and the litters from this line look like a dog from every town. Still a little too young in my opinion to hunt but they get to go along for the ride. Dad got into it with a coon on the ground the other day. Would hate to get them scared at this age. They have discovered the cats though and seem to enjoy harassing them!

I’ve raised and trained Blueticks my whole life. I love a hard hunting dog that knows how to get treed and stay there. Just made a cross a couple weeks ago. Hope to have pups first part of August. What did you cross with? I'm casually keeping my eyes open for a dog.

What did you cross with? I'm casually keeping my eyes open for a dog. I made an inbred cross to hopefully lock in some traits for my breeding program. The female is hands down the best I’ve ever had. The male is one of her sons from her first litter and an exceptional hound. Both dogs will blow a hole in the dark and get treed. If the coon aren’t moving they are not afraid to change zip codes. If they lasted forever, they would be the only two I’d ever need. This particular female is getting old and it will be her last litter. I was afraid I’d regret it if I didn’t make the cross.
