I frequently do a trick shot where I aim at an elk and then send the arrow exactly 4 inches over its back. Very few people are that exact in their shot placement.

You flatter yourself. I routinely do that same thing without even trying. smile

When I was in second grade, Darrel Pace, who twice won the individual gold in the Olympics, who twice won the World Championship in Archery and who was declared the Men's Archer for the Twentieth Century by the International Archery Federation, came to my school, talked to us, let us hold his gold medal and performed trick archery for us inside our school cafeteria.

It was incredible. I still remember it 41 years later. Darrell wore his red, white and blue, Team USA, track suit. He shot lots of playing cards on edge and cigars. He acted like he was going to shoot 3 playing cards on edge out of Mrs. Zoe's hand, who was my second grade teacher, but used a manikin hand instead and kept cutting down a cigar in a manikin's mouth, to the tiniest stub. He quick shot lots of cigars too and shot the small hearts, diamonds, clubs and spades out of playing cards. He had our principle toss coins for him to hit. They set up backstops against the front wall of the cafeteria.

Darrell had a 3% body fat ratio and pinched his biceps for a bit, then flexed and the muscles stood out on top, like a little cap of bicep.

Darrell Pace got me interested in archery.

Keith

Byron Ferguson was a pioneer in trick shooting. He has a few videos on youtube. I saw him at a show quite a few years ago and was amazed.

I used to chase arrows for Stacy Groscup when I was a kid. My father was very good friends with him. Anybody from the WV/PA area has most likely heard of him. I miss Stacy a lot sometimes. Best person I’ve ever met with a longbow. He used to go to the fairs and shooting clubs around here and shoot aspirins a lot.
