Don’t use it for firewood like somebody else said. Stuff burns like gasoline, but explodes like firecrackers when you burn it.

I'll vouch for the gasoline bit, even when green and standing, just ask my local fire dept. But it's cool as heck to listen to it burn, better than tossing a handful of 22s on the fire.

Can you just burn it as mentioned before? Or cut it down and pile brush there and burn it?

Have you searched for a market for large bamboo?

Bush hog it down then just as it's greening back up spray it heavily with Cornerstone Plus. You'll have to do this a few times but it'll work.

Haven't thought of it as marketable but would let anyone have as much as they want. When I was younger, we used long bamboo poles to snare suckers and carp under the ice. That's the only thing I've ever seen them used for around here. I didn't know they were like that when burned either. Kids might enjoy throwing a few handfuls of them in the fire pit at the cabin. Unfortunately, the lower section is right up on and down over the pond bank (dam side) so I wouldn't want to scratch too deep there with heavy equipment. Probably gonna just be some labor intensive cutting by hand there. I'll try chopping and spraying to see how that goes. I'll try to stay on top of it but certainly hope it doesn't take ten years lol...

Bamboo makes great bean poles and tomato stakes. I've advertised every year come take what you want. Only once did a boy scout leader come get a truck load for teepee poles. Another showed up but left when he realized the best he could hope for was stuff laying on the ground as I wasn't cutting to length or hauling them to him.
Lots of request for already cut to length, though. This last cutting I did bean poles and have several hundred stashed back.

Cut it then pen up a bunch of goats behind an electric fence works for about every weed here in Wy including salt cedar and creosote brush. There are a couple of outfits that will even come in with a tractor trailer full of goats to do the job. They will eat anything and really like the young stuff more protein and more palatable. Then I guess there is always panda bears .

Get some pandas.

I like the Panda idea. Once you get the Panda's here, you put up a fence to keep them on your land.
