So what price would you all pay for a euro mount with or without a board mounted on it. What are people asking for euro mounts? [Linked Image]

$80 is what I paid last fall. Beatles, cleaning, and bleaching, no board.

Been a while since I mounted a euro.

I believe Melby charged me about $75 with no board. Mark’s mounts come back looking FANTASTIC too!

I have nothing clever to put here.

I charged $100 for a deer without a panel and it was still not worth my time and expense. I cleaned with maceration, degreased and whitened. It takes a while to get the grease out without damaging the bone. I am no longer doing them other than family.

$125 for a standard no board antelope
$175 for a competition quality antelope no board

The higher priced mount is way nicer its sealed and the dust just wipes off.
I did sell both capes for $100 each so that helped

What product do you use to seal the comp quality?

Is it Sharon that paints them on here? I’d love to have one painted by her.

You can get them done for between $50-$80 around here. I’d love to find somebody within a reasonable distance that has beetles. I have a few small skulls I’d like to get done.

It can cost you your skull if you try and do it yourself the old school way burying it in the woods. Found that out the hard way this weekend when I checked on my buck skull I had buried and covered with big logs. The logs were tossed to the side and bigfoot took off with my skull for a snack. I'll go looking for it when the skeeters die down, but I'm not holding my breath.

$140 for the euro, and another $60-$90 for the board. Depending on what kinda board you want.

Elmer's glue to seal them. Just a thin layer.

I’ve been using mop and glow and getting good results.

Anyone who puts up his own furs would have little trouble doing his own.

It's easy to do yourself, wrap the antler bases in aluminum foil, boil the skull in Sal Soda that you can get from a taxidermy supply company and you can brush off the grissle and left over flesh with a wire brush. Give it a coat of polyurathane and you are good to go. Or do what I do and cut the antlers off like you would for a regular mounted dear head and buy a reproduction skull painted or white, mount your antlers to it and you are done. I still boil the antler base in Sal Soda before I put them on the reproduction skull.

I have a good process down at the moment but it’s interesting to see different techniques.
