Those guys over by the iron range that got popped for running all those snares and leaving them hang without checking for extended times? They had caught a bunch of wolves and even some bears. I recall a thread on here but can’t find it.

I heard the guy that cooperated got a small fine.
The guy that fought got off on some technicality, the DNR handled the case improperly.
Don’t know if that is fact, it’s what I was told.

Well if they did as accused then that’s too bad. A buddy was asking about whatever happened with that case and we tried doing some Google searches for a disposition but came up empty handed.

I've come to the conclusion that the courts don't care much about wildlife crimes. Had a local warden charge a guy for his 4th offense. Warden did a lot of good leg work. The courts basically said "meh...who cares"...like they did with the first 3 offenses.
