I use acupuncture with electricity put through the needles and nerves. I am pain free had pinched nerves and ruptured L5 disc and no supportive material left in the disc. No surgery for either the pinched nerves or ruptured disc. Been two years so far I’m still good. Cut , split and stacked 6 cords of wood feel great. Before acupuncture the only relief was a lot of ice and stretching. I really suggest you try acupuncture and ask about using the electricity to force the nerves back open. It’s like a garden hose having a partial kink in it and using more water pressure to open it up.

I had it once and I couldn't even hardly walk. I went to a chiropractor and had one treatment it was gone. That was 10 years ago never had a issue with it again.

stretch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4UoITjubrgEibuprofen if you can take it driving with my right leg angled out causes me sciatic pain . but using a section of pool noodle under my right knee keeps the leg strait and then the nerve doesn't get pinched. in my other vehicle I can adjust the seat enough to keep my legs strait and avoid the pain

I also have stretches similar to these but using a bar or railing so that they can be done standing and not have to try and get off the floor but start stretching before you even get out of bed.
also if you sit a lot , start standing it will help , it helps because it builds your core muscles and if they are stronger and stretched out you will fatigue and cramp less causing less pain and pinching of the sciatic nerve.

Totally agree with this - I'll be doing something along these lines myself real soon, as it's time......

Make sure is isn't just billfold sciatica. just i didn't carry my wallet in my back pocket after having back issues , but it took me getting a new used truck to realize I had been getting Broken down Van seat sciatica for a while.

Compressed low back is one common source of sciatic nerve problems. In my case laying down and pulling my knee tight against my chest to get a low back/glute muscle stretch gives temporary relief.

Had years of sciatica. 3 years ago it got bad. Chiropractor and therapy did nothing then one day I couldn’t walk. I had 3 surgeries with the last fusing my l4-5. That was almost 2 years ago. Great now but I lost a lot of weight and work out a lot. I wish you the best. Sciatica sucks.
