JP, correct me if I’m wrong, but appears I’m looking at the exit wound to a quartering away shot.
So , I’m not really getting the controversy. Should the deer be deader ?

Used to be a flat bow shooter, can't no more cause of my body. Ain't nothing like it. Your kicking yourself in the face right outta the gate by looking at it as another iron. You'll not find a better connection man. This^^^^!

So , I’m not really getting the controversy. Should the deer be deader ? I think some guys have a hard time coping with the fact I don’t look like a 60 year old troll and I’m still getting the job done. This hunt was awesome and I think about it very often. That shot went through the neck, out the neck, and into that shoulder. There’s a story to the shot, but I’m already being called names and criticized about shot placement so I won’t go into it. I’m a lot more stubborn then the other guys that leave, you guys will have to put up with me for a bit longer. I’ll probably out live most of you’s anyways. LOL

Next one you kill,Jurassic, stab it in the heart with your hunting knife-then take a pic.All the armchair hunters will like that shot placement, lol.

Wow... that escalated quickly from a simple bow hunting thread lol. JP to me a dead deer is a dead deer. You got the job done so nice job! Dandy buck. Love the chocolate antlers.
And no I'm not actually seeing it as an iron in the fire. I just use that as an expression and don't mean it in a negative sense at all. I'm already thinking my rifle hunting in the future is going to be very, very limited.
