Yea beav, it was definitely a great time. Just wish I could stay for two weeks instead of one. But it's always nice to get back to the mountains and cooler temps

Quite a few Matt since it was the week of the 4th but it wasn't bad. Most people are just fishing for whatever with cut bait and dead shrimp. There was usually just 10-15 serious trout fisherman out there

Well It looks like y'all had a nice time. I have never had trout from the ocean. I use to go to Colorado and catch trout there they were real good.

Matt we have some of the best freshwater trout fishing here in east Tennessee but the speckle trout from the ocean are so much better eating. One of my favorite right with walleye

Thanks for sharing.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Holy smokes , that looks like a wonderful time.
Were you able to catch all those guys from the pier?
The only salt water I know anything about is to boil potatoes.

I used to fish for those and bluefish in the Delaware bay. I love flyfishing for freshwater trout but don't care to eat many. The sea trout(they called them specs and weakies in de) are a lot better eating.

yes rm,had a job at 20 yrs old in texas fishing for those in the intracoastal canal(waterway) we used shrimp also we seined for bait and nightly caught 300-400 pounds on poles off 9 docks. We caught trout, flounder and redfish nightfishing off docks with lights shining on water. An occasional shark would swim thru the light

I agree, saltwater specs are better than freshwater trout. We catch them in Florida on mirrolure plugs. From where I live in NC, we can be to Panama City about as fast as Hatteras. Love both places.
