No !!
Fawns triplets wiped my Bee Balm out this morning..Had several very nice plants budded out some started to flower and the deer mowed all the buds, flowers off every plant along with Indian Blanket and a few cone flower buds..Every year it will eventually happen..tried everything to keep them out.. Sure going to miss the smell of bee balm, doubt they’ll bud again..Need to get a pet coyote that’ll keep them away..lol
Thought I was a good trapper until I started trapping coyotes...... Thought I was a good bowhunter until I targeted mature bucks....

Nice picture Ambush! Sorry about the Bee Balm. Lol Yep nature does it's thing, just like me, trying to get as many wild berry as I can, but competing with wildlife makes it interesting. Lol They do share some and they need them more then I do anyways.
Thanks for the picture, it is cool when you can capture triplets.

Give me a fish, I will eat for a day. Teach me to fish, I will eat for a lifetime

Snowy, they have been here since being born never could get them all in one photo shot until now..cute bunch but destructive little bunch..lol
Squacks some may come back I’m assuming they just dead headed them for me but a couple they ate half the plant down..mine also started to bloom 2-3 days ago..my wife’s favorite is bee balm I haven’t told her yet, after I do might be 3 less fawns running around here..

exclusion fencing , you can't fence off the whole forest but a few places fence of what you can with a roll of wire and some posts , you will keep the plants you want growing in the exclusion , you will also be able to see what the graze effects really are on your forest floor.
having seen a few of these done you will soon see that if you have too many deer everything on your forest floor will be grazed off at the same height and your exclusions will be many times taller.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I've had deer in my garden eating off all my asparagus. Last year they ate all the flowers off my Butter Cup squash and I got no squash. I sprayed Liquid Fence around the perimeter to deter them. So far, so good.

I thought Michigan sucked for hunting? Never see triplets here. I’m adding Michigan to the list of places to deer hunt!

Thanks for the responses. I’ve tried deer repellent it’s ok for bit than I get hammered again.

Oh they are a few around. Years back 780,000 hunters chasing deer. Last year I think it went down to 600,000 deer hunters might have a chance now. Lol Michigan sucks.

They're like locusts... even the stuff that they're not supposed to like gets eaten eventually, the sprays work for awhile, but sooner or later they seem to consider it a condiment, blinky lights, water sprinklers, human hair, irish spring soap, might work a little, but it won't last, and it gets expensive.
The ONLY thing that works, is to eat as many of the darn things as you can....

Thanks for the responses. I’ve tried deer repellent it’s ok for bit than I get hammered again. Try Liquid Fence. It seems to last longer than some of the other stuff. Its smell is awful, kinda like spoiled vomit.
