I am sure this will create some discussion, just trying to offer some helpful tips if you like this style of live trap.
A picture is worth a thousand words and a video a hundred thousand, but some of us have limited bandwidth. It would help to know the model you are speaking about, and a list of the modifications. Thank you

I find it's funny that we are talking about plastic traps. We have them laying all over the place because our technicians will rarely use them. The Tomahawks and Comstocks seem to catch animals a lot more quickly!

We have several and rarely ever use them. They get too hot. Drill holes or not they have limited ventilation. For those afraid of animal contact etc. they have a purpose. Due to the solid design they have restricted air flow for good lure and bait scent flow and no visual bait potential unless they are in front of the cage.
You or the consumer can't see what you have captured or provide examination of the animal without handling it or transferring it into another cage. Or standing the trap on end and slowly opening the door to look at your capture. No sliding door to easily transfer animals to another removal transport cage without potential loss of the animal via transfer.
Not criticizing the traps just pointing out some features that I don't like, just don't find a good use for them over safeguards or Comstock traps.
I caught a porcupine in my poly trap last night. Actually pushed him into it with a broom but he was still in there. Dumb left my phone at home so no picture.
