Wife was at a wine tasting today and one variety of wine was not available for sale. Black bears ate the grapes, and left the others.

I bet that the grapes that were eaten had a higher sugar content than the other grapes.

You can always tell when the elder berries get ripe in the area I elk hunt. One morning you go buy them and all the bushes are flattened.

If you never have seen a corn field invaded by bears when the ears reach the yellow starch phase you have not seen damage. Makes coon damage look minor for sure.
