Once the protesters started attacking the National Guard with deadly force, by throwing rocks, they should have been immediately shot dead enmasse, because they were no longer protesters but a mob of felons committing aggravated assault and attempted murder on the US Military. History has been rewritten to claim some of the students killed were innocent. This is an untruth. They were part of the mob feloniously assaulting our military.

Peaceful protests should be allowed. Felonious assault on the police and US Military should always result in the IMMEDIATE DEATH OF THE PERPETRATORS.

This is the results of living in a world with no consequences . Like a small child people will test the limits to see just how much they can get away with, little by little. As small groups prove there are no repercussions for their actions, their numbers grow and they become more bold in their action. It's the path to anarchy and civil war. This is both funny and pathetic. The news media needs a “story” that will garner them more followers so they grab an obscure story of people wanting attention. This is a one-off story. It isn’t happening all over the country. But when it went viral, it gave the media more attention. It sold more advertising. The media which picked it up were doing so to increase their own legitimacy as being “players” in reporting legitimate news.

C’mon people. We’re smarter than this. Just because it’s on the web or tv doesn’t make it newsworthy.

The Kent State kids didn’t have guns. It was a small protest. The National Guard decided to use live ammunition. All of this has been documented multiple times. Now, tell me how many more of those protesters should have died, expressing their opinions, the right of which was and still is guaranteed by our constitution.
