Was out prepping a food plot for this fall and ran across a humming bird nest when I was pruning some branches. First one I have ever found its about 1 1/2 inch round x 3/4 high, eggs are about the size of a small peanut.

I've come across a few of them but they have all been last year's or abandoned after the little ones have left. They are amazing little birds!

I found my first this year as well around my house, it was to high up to take a look inside. Only reason i found it was because another bird landed near the nest on the same branch and the adult hummingbird was not going to let that stand, interesting to watch it defend the nest.
