There are a lot of socialists in Canada,like the states mostly in the cities(immigrants with no roots here).It would depend on where it took place if the people reacted or not.
Any small town in Canada would not stand for that.
I support Trump in trying to protect your borders.Legal immigration is beneficial,and people who come in a law abiding manner are an asset to the community.I believe immigrants can hold on to their culture and also assimilate into their new community.
All of my American relatives belonged to the Irish American clubs in Cleveland,and New York,some several generations removed from the old country.
They also sponsored many irish friends and relatives who wanted to immigrate to America.
