Seen a big brood and some smaller ones last week will know more about the numbers after the hay is cut in the ditches, that seems to be behind also so that might help them from getting bailed if the get a little bigger and fly better.

Good deal! I haven't seen any yet, but we sure have had great dewy mornings for a good hatch. Anyway that has been my observation. I don't hunt them but the numbers have been down here. A few years back it was nothing to see 100's of them on the drive into the ranch in the fall, not so much the last few years. Winter got a lot of them.
Keep us posted what you are seeing going forward.

Our pheasant pop was up last year. Had a great season and covered a lot of ground. My Dad used to go your way years ago. Hoping we go back soon. He’s been hunting with me since I could ride on his shoulders, he’s pushing 70 now. Can’t wait for November

I don't know if the pheasants will ever recover from that ice storm in SoDak about 7-8 yrs ago. That was enough to make a grown man cry.

The little ones are getting out and about around here. Have been seeing chicks the are 2" tall to almost half grown already. Haven't seen any little quail yet but its a matter of time, see adult pairs every half mile it seems like.
It's your story, tell it how you want me to believe it

Good, more food for your coyotes Jerry!! Yotes have been real quiet here they might be lost in the tall grass it's like a jungle in places, most years a guy could hit a golf ball around in the pastures now you would never find the ball!
