Went from 20 eggs a day to 1 or 2 as soon as it broke 90deg.

Do they really quit laying due to heat?

Nothing else has changed.

They are entering the molt. They won't lay well again until mid August in a normal year.

Tame ducks as do all fowl to an extent follow the evolutionary procedure as do our migrating waterfowl. They molt based on day length as was stated so they can grow new feathers for the long journey south and the young will develop their flying feathers as well.
