Hello. I really enjoy the Lew and Charlie stories and want to read them all. Book 7 just came out and I have read all of those in the magazine. I have all the stories wrote down from 1985 to the present and the years they originally ran. With the upcoming heatwave maybe someone would have the time to look up and tell me the titles of the stories from the following years: 1986, 1987, 1991, 1945, 1946, 1957, 1958. Thank you for your time.

The Adventures of Lew and Charlie
Lew-Charlie-book-hand.jpg
“Charlie faced three wolves. His only weapons were a .22 pistol and his knife. He jerked out the pistol and looked at the magazine. It held a single cartridge...”

Lew and Charlie are two stand-up guys who rely on their outdoor skills to survive in the wilderness hunting, trapping, and fishing. They also solve mysteries, catch crooks, and rescue damsels in distress. Perhaps best described as an old-fashioned adventure serial, the stories have been a favorite of FUR-FISH-GAME readers for years. For this, the first Lew and Charlie book, we went back to the beginning, to the first three stories, two of which have never been reprinted. Regular readers should enjoy meeting Lew and Charlie as young men embarking on their first outdoor adventures. But really, anyone who enjoys a bold tale will have a hard time putting down this book.

I find the series annoying, they can drop it anytime.

Remember Bowe Bergdahl, the traitor.

Beware! Jill Pudlewski, Ron Oates and Keven Begesse are liars and thiefs!

Yup, each story is basically the same with a few name changes.

I enjoy them all …. not so high and mighty like crap written today … down to earth for the average human being.

Truth is stranger (and more interesting) than fiction imo.
That being said, a lot of what was written and passed off as nonfiction outdoor writing back in the 50's and 60's was a result of imagination.

I enjoy the stories, I have the first 6 books. I didn't know the 7th was published so I guess I better order it.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

The only problem of waiting for next month's FFG is I forget what I read last month.

Me too lion … That is the good thing about the books …. you get to read the story all the way through.... I have the first 6 and ordered the 7th one last evening or sometime recently..... When I get the mag. the first thing I read is the Lew and Charlie., then Hal's column and then start at the beginning and read it through... 2 years from now you can read them again and with old guys like me ….. you can read them next week and and it like reading them the first time.
