I found an old 8 gallon aluminum pot with lid at a yard sale . This thing is thick , solid and heavy duty. Much larger than the enameled steel pot I'm using to boil traps. Any issues with boiling and dying traps in an aluminum pot ? -Thanks

It will work with dye but never use any caustics like lye,SaniFlush or other drain cleaners or acids.

Okay, my "dye" is walnut hulls, and tree bark. I never use any chems when I clean traps, I just boiling them. What about vinegar if I need to clean up some rusty traps ?

Might not be a good idea to use vinegar in the aluminum pot. Use a plastic bucket for the vinegar soak. The aluminum pot will be fine for boiling traps though.

Vinegar won't be good for it,It's very acidic. You are better off using buckets or plastic totes.
