Can't tell depth but you could try alternating. Small barriers on the sides. This will catch the silt and allow the water through UN hindered
However you may want to think about how noticible it would be. .
You may think before you act. The question is did you listen to your own council?

Runoff should be less now with somewhat less rain than earlier and vegetation and canopy are probably near max. Fill a pail and see what is in the water, such as small algae, and other growth that may color the water. I can see the bottom in several places so you may be looking at stain in the water instead of debris. Once runoff slows then more water is coming from the ground water and in your area there could be a lot of tannic acide which along with iron can stain your water brownish or rusty iron color. Also biologic growth is at a max right now so there could be many contributing factors and a small stream or water body can change dramatically in a week to a few days with the heat units creating much growth.
Bryce Yup, my creek always looks like rootbeer because of all the tannin.
