Do you prefer living in a cold climate and put up with the snow and low temperatures in the winter or living in a hot climate putting up with the heat in the summer or somewhere in between? I prefer the first one.

I'd prefer it to be 100 degrees all day everyday. I hate the cold with a passion, the only thing cold weather is good for is trapping and making a fire in the fireplace.

I'll take the cold. I can put more clothes on. I can shovel snow. Most of my outdoor interests revolve around cool to cold weather.

I like cold weather, but not the mess of Freeze/thaw, freeze/thaw that we usually have.

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

Winter by far.minus 20c perfect weather.
Although I have a snow blower,I like to shovel snow-good exercize and good cardio.
I use the snowblower after a blizzard when there are hard drifts several feet deep in some places.
I keep my driveway, front steps and walkway, deck and about half the back yard clear of snow.
People here who live in the bush generally don't shovel any snow, just pack it down.

Cold, maybe not as cold as Boco likes but if it never got above 40 degrees Fahrenheit I would be happy.

Just move to ks and ya get both! Horrible high humidity in summers like right now. Winters aren't as severe as you guys out west and north but the wind never quits blowing in winter so it's never just the temps that chill ya

It could be worse. You could be on venus-avg temp 850f,due to all the carbon in the atmosphere.

That being said I was born to far south. I can always wear more clothes. In summer folks might not like what I want to wear wink

Depends when you ask: Now=100, humid, and windy OR Jan=negatives for several days and windy. Neither hot nor cold bother me it is just the moisture in the air summer or winter.

No offence to the south but I love the cold north, if I move it would be further north or west somewhere. I've been south a few times , cool country but its too dang hot and humid.

grin I was born and raised in the deep south....I would gaze due north all my growing up life there and try to imagine the west....fall cool colours, big mountains, snow . I didnt have the foggiest understanding what low humidity in heat or cold was , or cold at all for that matter.

When I left I felt I had escaped to freedom....

I always hear people say you can always put more clothes on in the winter, you can only take so much off in summer ( that depends on if other people are around. laugh )

But if I'm out somewhere shivering cold and don't have anything to put on, or I'm at work getting dripped on by nasty road salt snow under a vehicle, I'm screwed, I just have to shiver. If I'm out and about and it's blazing hot and I'm sweating, I can always just sweat more and deal with it. I just find the heat easier to deal with.
