I don't know why. But the older I get the more I enjoy gardening?

So I'm wanting to do something extremely functional, permanent, and fancy with a garden. Raised bed or something.

Any ideas or pics of what you've seen or have done?

Thanks.

We did a raised bed this year, 5'x12'x2' and it is working great. We don't have much in it (just me and my wife) tomato, cuke's, peppers and green onions. Been going through a lot of onions and cuke's. Tomato plants are 5' tall and starting to produce good. Good luck!

We are getting to the point that we can almost everything we consume for the year ourselves. Meat and all

Would like to have this make gardening less labor intensive inhe weed Dept.

I kinda like this idea. It's less permanent as far as it's general configuration is concerned. Able to be moved around etc... But would allow for a green house set up and watering system

Also

That isn't raised. So no import of soil. You can sink it

I have always enjoyed gardening. I put in a high tunnel this year. I didn't finish it until around the first of July so I got a late start planting. I was amazed at how well everything is doing even with the 100+ Texas temps. Here is a link with some info

We use alot of landscape fabric for mulch works well to control weeds and keep your feet from getting muddy

In the past I've done a garden in front of the house where bushes used to be, flowers in the front and vegetables in the back. It looked nice, but the kids trampled it getting to the good stuff to eat. Now 'm just doing pots, which is a lot easier, but just utilitarian. But I really liked the flowers incorporated into the vegetable garden.
