Look to burn some cabelas bucks on new rifle. I own a several Remington 700's, a savage model 10, a couple savage axis, a ruger m77 and possibly some others I can't think of at the moment. I am considering a 6.5 creedmoor, got to see what all the hype is about I guess. Looking for a nice light weight hunting rifle. I have no experience with the tikka or x bolt. Anyone have any experience with either? I love me a nice trigger on a bolt gun so how do these triggers stack up? The Remington's new trigger really disappoints, I see no reason a man should spend $700 to $1000 on a gun and have to put an after market trigger on it. Let me know your thoughts on these two shootin irons. Thanks

Never owned or even shot Tikka. So can’t vouch for them. But I do have 2 Brownings. Both are A-Bolt II. But I’m sure there’s really no real change of the X-Bolt other than the detachable clip design? Not really any adjustments to lighten the trigger pull. But you can certainly get rid of any trigger creep. Both shoot sub MOA and are 25 years old.

I have a good friend that owns a Tikka in 25-06 and he swears buy it, I have never shot it but he sure can do well with it.
I have an older Browning A bolt in 30-06 and is one of the best rifles I have ever owned.
Don't see how you could go wrong with either. Put a good scope on one and it will serve it's purpose.

I own and shoot a Tikka T3 Lite stainless in .223 for coyote. I own a lot of other firearms and the Tikka will be buried with me. Tack driver right out of the box! Pick one up someplace and work the action. You'll fine they have actions like buttah (for Nessie). When it comes time to buy another rifle it will be a Tikka.

I have a Tikka T3 in 223, 25-06 and 300 WSM. All three have worked flawlessly for me and you can adjust the trigger to how you like it. Never owned an Xbolt so I can’t compare the two.

Tika T3 lite LH in 270 WSM . Light weight, points nice, set trigger where u want it, shoots very small groups, rings came with mine. Browning scope bases an rings not as easy to find or as affordable.

I just ordered bases and rings along with the scope for my A-Bolt, way back when, along with those for another dozen rifles over the years.
You are paying for them one way or another.

Little bit of trivia, tika uses Sako bbls every one of them used to be guaranteed sub moa. Every one I sold the customer raved about their accuracy.

I have a browning X bolt in the 6.5, mine is a composite stalker. I really like it so far, it shoots very well. Its easy to carry and handles well. I am working on a load with a 140 gr sierra. It will shoot under a half. You will hear is one is better, I like this one more. Just handle both and see what you like.

I have a Tikka 22-250 and a browning a-bolt in 270. I love both of them. Both are very accurate and liteweight

I have had a Tikka T3 270 for about 15 years, excellent in every aspect. I do not get sentimental and have no problem selling/trading a gun but the Tikka will always be around.

I own a Tikka T3 light in 270SM. It is the best out of the box trigger I have ever shot. My next will be in the 308. I will say the recoil will get your attention, the gun is a little light for magnum calibers. That is the only issue I have with it. It seems to shoot all bullets well and is a joy to handle.

if your looking for a light weight hunting rifle any you have a dealer around you that carries them you should see how a Kimber M84 feels in your hands very model 70 win in design but they lightened it up while keeping it very accurate guarantees sub MOA.

I believe it is the lightest or one of the lightest production rifles.

Have an old Browning BBR from the 70s. First production year I think. Heavy but accurate. 25-06
