I literally have no words for this... wow. So let me get this straight? Minorities are caught STEALING on camera, but that is somehow prejudiced against them because of the use of cameras? So we should let the GET AWAY with stealing? What in the (not allowed on here) is wrong with people today?

Minorities are waking to this very thing. The left is going to go completely crazy in 2020.

We have a similar situation here in my county, and I assume the whole state. I only just learned about it this past week. A house was broken into on the street I live on. The home of a law enforcement officer. A couple firearms and a tv were stolen. The thief, who lives on the same street, was caught with the tv, no firearms recovered. Eyewitness led to his arrest. He was released with a "ticket", with his court date. Never saw a judge, no bail, just released. Apparently this new "law" came into effect this year. I'd never heard of it, so I was more than a little shocked. As it was explained to me, the "law" was passed because it was unfair that thieves like him can't make bail due to lack of finances. Craziness has infected our country.

So the cameras are proving that the majority of thieves are minorities........hmmmmm

Can a camera be racist?

The liberal fear is that more minorities will be caught stealing because of the new technology and will thus be imprisoned. They appear not to care that the people are imprisoned for the crimes, that they now are undeniably proven to have committed.

The liberals believe that to be fair, blacks should not be imprisoned at 5 times the rates of whites, like they currently are.

Somewhere between 1/3rd and 1/2 of black males living will be convicted of crime and spend time in jail. There is tremendous fear amongst the left that new technology will help convict many more minorities of crimes, leading to even higher percentages of blacks and Hispanics being incarcerated.

I think punishing criminals and preventing theft is a great thing, no matter what they look like.

Interestingly, studies on red light cameras in predominantly white areas still found that black people ran lights proportionately much more than whites. Blacks were 2.4 times more likely to run red lights in this study then whites and even more likely in others.

Traffic cams I don't know, but traffic lights are definitely racist, no brown or black lights, I'm appalled.

I use to live in an old historic gold mining town in my twenties. One of the things that kept us all in check was lack of a judge, the judge was a traveling one and would come through on Wednesdays. If you screwed up and got arrested you knew how long you would be sitting in jail before seeing the judge to grant bail or turn you loose with a warning. It pretty much kept us all in check as we had jobs we didn't want to lose from being locked up.

And if it happens that minorities will one day out number "regular" folks, you can be assured minorities will never be as cordial and accommodating as "regular" folks were to them. If they ever get in charge of things, the country will deteriorate rapidly economically.

Been there, done that for way to long. Glad when it was over.

And opposite portrayals for law abiding gun owners who are made out to be crazy nuts out to do harm to the world.
