For those that use them for coyotes, is 2lb enough? Looking at the JC conners tracker pro. I will only be using a half dozen or so in a public land setting.

2 pounds is plenty. IMO, the amount of chain is more important than drag weight. A long chain keeps the drag on the ground, whereas short chain won't keep a heavier drag on the ground as well.

If any lions around, longer chain yet with heavy rock added or better yet long heavy limb cabled on to prevent loss of hardware.
