I hear you Zim. My wife left last Friday to go to Maine with her mom. I haven't starved... But I'm not going to make a mess and deal with the hassle of cooking for just me.

Come over to my place and we’ll work together. Mine just left for Cali for a week.

Throw a ribeye on the grilll 2 3 minutes to a side, when it gets done put an ear of corn in the microwave for three minutes while the steak rests. Voila, meal fit for royalty,.

Might have to do that Steven, it is making me hungry.
Brian, I would take you up on that deal but I fear that you and I left unsupervised would result in some sort of trouble.
What some of you guys said is the truth, I am a pretty good cook but just have a hard time doing it for one.

Hey thanks Bob! I used to love a good liver sausage sandwich. I need to be thinking outside the box and into the tube, so to speak.
We have a local meat market that makes very good braunschweiger .

I figured it was a lot better than potted meat or corned beef and hash in a can.

I made potato salad today.
Most everything was out of the garden.
Eggs from the neighbors chickens

Scrambled eggs sandwich and chocolate milk used to be a common supper in the country, ,,,,,, about 60 years ago.

That sounds great, I wish I had that much ambition!
Tonight I really mixed it up and threw in a head of fresh garden broccoli with the kraut and smoked sausage.

I usually just get out the old Julia Child Mastering the Art of French Cooking, Cook book.

Lots of good stuff in that Book !

I like Julia, especially when she says "now we will add a little bit of bourbon" and takes a slug.

How about a nice cowboy steak.....I don’t need no wimmen to cook for ol Nessy....I can make anything ! Just pick out a recipe....and go for it.

Whip up a meat loaf....some taters...fresh corn on the cob

Goulash,,,,it’s what’s for dinner,,,,

now meat loaf that does sound good

3 pounds venison
2 onions
1 red pepper
1 green pepper
all the bread heals and any dried out slices maybe some good bread if low on those
garlic lots of garlic
seasoned salt
ketchup
mustard
mix it all up make a great big doughnut shape in the 14 inch skillet and cover in Ketchup

since it is summer cook on the grill about 375 for an hour

eat meat loaf all week

Forgot, I did make a meatloaf last week. Believe it or not, I have not seen fresh, local sweetcorn here in Wisconsin yet.
Late and then some this year. Many of the farm corn fields here have not tasseled yet, some are barely knee high. Cold and wet spring.
Do not need an early frost, that is for sure.
