AnthonyT OP trapper A Joined: Feb 2009 Posts: 1,601 KY	So I have a friend that just got a job offer in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and was wondering if anyone on here had any insight into the area. My friend got the offer but has never been to Nova Scotia and asked if I knew anyone from there. Figured someone on here could give a bit of info on the area. Thanks, Anthony

I don’t know anything about living there other than gas is expensive and high taxes on everything. The bitterness of poor quality last a lot longer than the sweetness of low price

Pike River trapper P Joined: Oct 2018 Posts: 5,570 Dunbar, Wisconsin	I have a guy at work from there. He loves it and cant wait to get back. There's not much work compared to the opportunities here. He's always bragging about the quality and low price of seafood. Soeething about the tide goes out and people just walk around collecting food and sell them at "garage sales". He did get stuck there for over a month this past winter. He flew into Bangor Maine and rented a car to drive home. I guess a ticket straight there is triple. Anyways....some storm came through and the roads stayed closed for weeks and coulsnt leave the area. Last edited by Pike River; 07/27/19 12:31 AM.

They have now switched coasts and are in BC. What is the average income in the Dartmouth area? Any idea what rent would be for a decent place to live?
