It looks like they were a little rough on the fish, but in all fairness the fish roughed the one kid up pretty good too...Had to laugh...Definitely a catch to remember for a very long time...

How did a sturgeon get in Minnehaha Creek in the first place?

I looked at the survey they did of all the creeks around that area and there was no sturgeon captured in their sites, but..........minnows do get dumped after fishing.
my bucket list is not yet completed yet.....

Minnehaha Creek drains Lake Minnetonka to the Mississippi River but Minnehaha falls prevents one from coming upstream. But Tonka is a HUGE lake where they could easily be present and unnoticed. One was recently reported to have been seen in Gray's bay where the creek exits.
Not the proper thing to do with a protected fish but what REAL kid wouldn't want to rope and drag one out and get a look at it, lol.
