Last night for dinner I made fried cabbage with sausage and shrimp. It turned out great! My tounge was slapping the back of my head it tasted so good. Simple too.
I have never had fried cabbage until last night.
For those that want to try it this is how I did it;
1 head cabbage
1/2 pound bacon
1 pound smoked sausage
1 pound raw shrimp (peeled)
1 large onion
1 bell pepper
1 tbls. Crushed garlic
1 tbls. Garlic powder
1 tbls. Slap yo momma seasoning
Salt & pepper

Chop bacon into half inch pieces and fry in large pot until fat is rendered. Remove bacon for later and leave grease in pot. Add cut up sausage and render for 3-5 minutes. Then add chopped onion and chopped pepper to pot and cook with sausage until onions and peppers start to soften up. Add crushed or chopped garlic, and garlic powder. Chop cabbage about 1/2" wide and put about 1/3 of cabbage in pot. Add garlic powder, and sprinkle some cajun seasoning of your choice (I used slap yo momma) salt and pepper. Cook cabbage until it cooks about halfway down. Add more cabbage and repeat with seasoning. Do this until all cabbage is in the pot. When all cabbage is in the pot add bacon back in and cook until the cabbage is at your desired level off doneness. Then at the very end toss in your shrimp and cook for 3-5 more minutes and get a plate ready! Enjoy!

Sounds terrific! I bet if you'd cut the ingredients a little smaller, let it cool after cooking, roll it up in egg roll wrappers and deep fry it, it would make awesome egg rolls too!

ADC, that's exactly what my wife said! You know I'll try it within the month.

Give fried Brussels Sprouts a try! Serve with browned burger and rice. YUM!
