Cnc machine operator doesn't usually require a lot of experience and is usually not too physically demanding. Some operators just have to watch part being machined and then load another part when it's done.
Won't take no prisoners, won't spare no lives.

The disability suggestion is a good suggestion. I’m guessing 30 years with a company means you already retired and just looking for something to do. Live off your retirement and apply for disability. If you have doctors visits and proof of your knee issue then you should get it without too much hassle. My wife works for the SSA as a contractor and people get it for a lot less issues than a bum leg. I’ll be eligible for retirement in 4 more years, but plan on working until I’m 60 then retiring. Now all this is based on the Stock Market not collapsing between now and then.

you say the cdl school was a joke. I get that. (and good on you for realizing that).
now, go find a cdl school that is GOOD and will actually teach you!
[somehow, I'm guessing there will be a reason why you "can't"]

Not say was a joke but what expect for less than $400, hardest part was permit. It was a 26 ft flatbed with no header rack in front, so could see in back windshield tracter. Clear in back, single axle. Day cab with straight thru 6 spd trans, no double clutching, 1 practice backup an test, a 8 miles test drive thru town an hiway with dot certified trainer. We were told that most would flunk at driver license station or on other equipment an never had a fail, no couple or unhook trailer. If was made for farmer want cdl or const guy want cdl, we were told, not much else expected as just a start, the only reason I took it az was out 1 big job an got grant an was free. An 4 miles from home, I wsnt to back out deal after told that not enough ppl there to make it worth bring equipment an would have take day of work an drive 130 miles where the guy that out on the stuff was from or have pay the grant back an consider fail an possibly a fine from dot for no show for test , local Walmart pay $11 now, noway I ever get along ones work there. I ship there Wkly an know then, Mexicans, blacks, cpl white guys that talk like sissy girls, that don't bother me but I never get along some them, I go though self checkout as checkers make to many mistakes an dbl hit barcodes an i see it an come back recipt, actually working Walmart might be harder for bum knee lot walking, actually can be better stand in 1 place, depend on what doing, unless bringing shop carts in , might be ok, depends what do, u csn hold on shop carts, that ok, I work warehouse for 2 months for holiday help, it was bad on knee

If you can bend over to tie your boot, you can set and place a trap. Trapping a beaver in February under a foot or so of ice may be more difficult.
