The numbers coming through the gate at Springfield, was just under 2,900. This did not count volunteers, tailgaters, or vendors. I think that was a pretty good turn-out. That's the only numbers and info I got, but there it is for those interested.

Well, those who didn't attend sure missed out. We were very happy to be there and see the President of Montana's Trapper Association and his wife get awarded the "Hall of Fame" award. Congratulations Jim and Fran Buel, And Slim Pederson accept his "Lifetime Achievement" award. Met lots of great trappers there and just an excellent time.
I don't think the turn out was that sad, what I find sad is the trappers that don't support their National or State organizations.

I think the floods in the the northern part of the state and surrounding states and areas had a lot to do with the gate numbers. Many Mo. folks that would have came were busy saving their farms , crops, and belongings.

I agree that’s a sad number. I remember when the NTA was huge.... I blame it on low fur prices and very little interest from younger people.
