So, I have made my own drags and just bought some JC conner tracker 2lb drags. They seem really small.. the ones I have made are about a foot wide, these ones seem around 8" and not much space between the points and the main shaft.

I use J.C.s 2 lbers but I use an extra long heavy chain and pre wrap them around a tree. Very well built and as usually high quality Conner stuff.... coyote proof.

I have and like jcs 2lbers for here in MO, but wouldn’t use them in open country, so it all depends on what part of MN you’re workin in I would think.

Used Connor’s 2 lbers when trapping in the east with no problems. Switched to 3 lbers here in the west due to more open country. Both are on 10 foot of chain.
