I use it in catfish boxes, and I was wondering if any of you all have ever used it in a dirt hole. Seems like it would catch every possum in three counties. Anyone ever tried it on predators?

I have never used a cheese bait for canines, has crossed my mine though. Because if I leave a jar of cheese bait in the boat out at the cottage the dogs out there will eat it before I return, even if it's the next morning, or later that day.

I've used catfish bait before. Can't get anything smelling more like cheese than that. I didn't have any luck but several guys say they did OK with it.

To be clear what I’m talking about is cheese trimmings not the commercially produced bait. Buy it from a fella by the five gallon bucket. Stuff stinks to high heaven.

Probably need to mix some preservative with it if I’m going to set aside a few jars to play with.

I would never use cheese for bait. I have sound evidence that your traps would be clogged by every Shih tzu and Welsh corgi within a three county area.
