Of the traps I have to deploy, the Sleepy Creek #4 1/2 is my favorite. The Newhouse #4 DLS and Newhouse #2 DLS I have as wall hangers are pretty cool too.

My favorite trap of all time. The best spring ever, the coolest looking chain ever. What's yours? Whats you're favorite way to use them? I just picked up a dozen B&L #1 Longs at the PA convention... Price was too good to pass up.

Blake/Lamb #44 dbl long..only bad thing is they make you do a bunch of skinning.... Yep, the 44’s are easy to set with a big jaw spread. I love them!
I have nothing clever to put here.

move the chain opposite the spring and you have one of the best footholds ever made.might hold a mountain lion ifn you could get a toe in it.they spawned my love for the #11.

That's hard to say,but it would probably be one of the smaller traps, like the 11/2 coil or the No.11.I love hearing about some of the catches made with them, like Don Bolte from Nebraska, using No.1 longsprings for a 900+coon season.I know I have a lot of respect for the 11/2 coil.I personally think their the best fox trap made, and have taken coyotes and 'cats with it.

OK, that one might be tied for first place with my #1 B&L longspring. My mentor, who taught me most of what I know about beaver trapping, used those #14s.

I have an odd attachment to the hump frame floppy pan Victor 1 1/2 long spring. They catch the rats fairly high on the leg and seem to hold most coons if you don't let them drag it out of the water.
I'm just a soul whose intentions are good. O Lord please don't let me be misunderstood.
