Last year a thread was started about getting rid of Yellowjackets using Taurus SC and a can of chicken, I tried it worked like a charm, put the bottle on a shelf in the basement with enough heat it didn't freeze, got it out this year and reapplied the bait, now am plagued by Yellowjackets, does the taurus go bad with time? have put the bait out 3 times this year vs. just once a year ago. any exterminators have experience with taurus sc? the stuff is 43 bucks a bottle and I use 2oz. a season.

Works for me every year and I keep mine in the unheated garage.

I remember that subject and would like to try it, I didn't buy the product because it was only available in a lot more than I preferred , and at that expense , I was a bit disgruntled that they made sure a person cant buy any without spending a lot.

I did really like all the reports in success I saw.

I hope you figure out this mystery. Cant imagine it going bad for such a large amount , it better not at that price !

Might be wrong time of the year as they are hitting the humming bird feeders here.

Yep..If Tarus SC had been $200.00 a bottle I still would have paid it..I have never in my life had what was going on here last year..In fact there was a smooth acre of land that was "No Mans Land"..The yellow jacket's had taken control..I would not dare to go out there during daylight hours..I had to move all the horses and mules out to keep them from getting stung..If it wasn't for Tarus SC yellow jackets would rule the planet..This year I've seen less than a half dozen..My Tarus SC rides on the top shelf..LOL

Yep.. again a special thanks to "Finster"

The taurus never froze, it was in a basement with the thermostat set on 55, started putting it out in may and change it out monthly, found 3 nests within 100 yards of the bait. have noticed there are not many dead flies on the bait. the last bait I put out I doubled the taurus, still no dead flies on it.

Yep...How did you find the nests? Where they in the ground or up in trees or brush?..I never did find any of the nests..The infestation I had had to be in the thousands..I don't know why they chose the area...I put out those live traps you can get at the farm store and they would fill it in two days..

1 is under the front door sill of the house, 2 were in the ground in the garden, gassed those 2, but we are 7-10 days from the peaches getting ripe, so I'm going to make them a fruit cocktail cocktail and see if that helps setting in right in front of the nest entrance, have sprayed the opening twice but didn't help much, just got a can of bee spray with permethrin that is supposed to kill them for up to 4 weeks to use as a last resort.

One of my sons got nailed 6 times last Sunday. America flag on top of a garage my brother owns, was tangled up from the wind. He’s quite the patriot, so he grabbed the latter against the shed and the let him have it. Felt sorry for him. Those things pack a punch

Week before last I got 8 stings by yellowjackets in about 10 seconds time. For several hours my legs felt like I had been branded. I took 2 benadryl and applied ice packs and was fine the next day.
