So I bought a can of paint last night and failed to realize it’s meant for masonry and concrete. The can doesn’t say “do not use on drywall” or “masonry/concrete only”. Just says masonry/concrete paint.

Anyone know if it will peel off if I use it on drywall? I don’t need this wall to last years or anything like that. But if it can last a year or two I’m fine with that. Will it even adhere to drywall?

Thanks!

I would think it is fine. It probably just cost more.

Go paint your driveway with it and go back and buy the proper paint.

If it is unopened and not a custom color blend, you should be able to return it.

The reason I asked is cause I’m 3 hours from town and stores are closed today and hours will vary tomorrow for the holiday. I planned to paint today and if I don’t do it today and tomorrow then I won’t have the time to do it for a couple weeks.
So if it was fine then I’d still go ahead and paint. If it’s going to peel off a couple days later then I’d wait a couple weeks and be in a bad mood for some time.

Boco, I had a funny feeling you were going to say something like that lol.
