Found this little Gem as random item in my scoop while detecting in the river today.. I know what it is, lots of them in the river, has no value but I always have found them interesting..Oh- and it's not a pearl, or even a clam..
Might be a pig castorator LOL!

Otolith from a freshwater drum

Never argue with a fool - they will drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

J-stone from a sheephead's skull. At least that's what we called them as kids.

always called them the rock in a drums head. First I ever heard of an Otolith. Always wondered what the proper name was

A lucky stone from a sheephead, they are right between the eyes, back to back.

You guys are all to good.. I used to have some of these around somewhere here too.. Maybe still do just don't recall where? Always wondered why the people who sell novelty items along the river did have these as ear rings or bracelets or something? like the coon and mink peckers that some shops sell..Maybe I'm missing my big chance to make that fist million???
