Let them spin for 15 - 20 minutes then wax them. Easy to do and nothing more needed.

Can you tell some about your set up? What make model is your mixer, and what media did you have in there? Thanks

how many can you put in at the same time?

I only do 4-8 at one time. First year I did more and didn't use a paddle. Now I use one paddle and less abrasive. Buy a bigger mixer if you want to do more traps a one time.

Exactly how I do mine with the same blasting grit. I go straight to wax also. I put a 10 to 12 traps in at a time 550s and B2s.

Thank you for posting this! I couldn't justify a mixer for waxed dirt alone... Now I just need to figure out how to convince my wife this would be handy for her garden.

Perfect! She's in the garden now. I'll tell her about "my" brilliant idea. Thanks, Jeff! grin

Every now and then one will get tangled around the mixing paddle, but no problems otherwise. Even that is not really a problem.

I removed one paddle. Chains will catch in that occasionally but it is not a big problem. My chains are about 12 to 15 inches.

Works for me. Most are OK after about 5 minutes. I pulled the paddle and doubled the abrasive and number of traps. Actually the bolts holding the paddle came loose and it fell off. Did 100+ traps Saturday as I worked on other things.
