I lived in Dayton most of the time between 1988 and 2012. I know the Oregon District where the shooting took place fairly well. The Oregon District is the old bar and party district of Dayton. It is a gun free zone. It is extremely crowded in the evenings. Thousands of people go there on a normal night. If the shooter just randomly shot down the sidewalks, he should have been able to shoot more people then he did.

Both areas were gun free zones. Mexican immigrants do not have the same gun culture as many conservative white Texans. In the Oregon District in Dayton, patrons are checked for weapons before they can enter a bar. The no weapons policy is strictly enforced in the Oregon District. Fortunately there is a satellite police office in the Oregon District and the police carry.

More people are killed by knives, revolvers, semi auto pistols and many other things than semi auto rifles, but your answers and left liberals is to ban assault rifles. You protect the criminals, demonize law enforcement, encourage illegal immigration and anything else that will get their vote. With every crime, the blame is put on the criminal that committed it. Some guy burns down a hose and the arsonist is convicted if caught and has to pay for his crime in the justice system. Same goes for a robber, thief even tax evasion. Not so with a shooting. Now the blame is put on the gun and society has to pay for the crime by getting restricted. Weird hw that works isn't it?

Any of you have children or grand children playing Fortnite? Fortnite is nothing but a killing game and it is huge. They just had a tournament and there 40 million contestants, 30 million purse and a 16 yr old kid won $3 million for 1st place. If you want to talk about gun control, the entertainment industry would be the 1st. When I was growing up, it was pac man and centipede. My daughters generation was Mario brothers, etc. My grandson's was grand theft auto and now Fortnite. But nobody wants to admit it and the left doesn't want to step on the entertainment industry.
