Went to Lowe’s and grabbed 50 feet of chain to rig traps, came home and couldn’t remember for the life of me where the bolt cutters where, it’s been years since I needed em... so I feel asleep and had a dream that shook me so bad it woke me up, it was my dad saying
“the bolt cutters are on the wall In the basement next to the fertilizer formulas, where we left them last time we rigged traps”

It woke me up, so I got up and looked, sure as that’s where they where!

Now my dad was my main hunting, fishing and trapping buddy, he died in my arms when I was 13, so I quit trapping till last year at 20, mainly because he died in my hands, 15 minutes after we got back off the line, just shook me up.

This isn’t the first time I’ve had things happen that seem out there, we had my fathers funeral on long island because that’s where we grew up and all of our family was there, there was a hawk every 10 miles that whole entire 3-1/2hr ride to LI... ever since then, I haven’t killed a deer without hearing a hawk, or seeing one that day. In fact I heard a hawk while in the stand with a friend that doesn’t hunt and said, that’s the sign, we are killing one tonight, 2 hours later..BBD.

There was an instance the first turkey season after he passed. I called this bird in and all of the sudden the hair on my neck stood up, and heard him say “shoot him now”.. I jumped and spun around because there wasn’t anyone sitting with me, I cried the whole way home.
That following deer season, I shot my buck during archery, on opening day, so I Waited till rifle doe to try and take a doe, I was sleeping in my blind and was having a dream about my father, and mid sentence he stops and turns and says “bout time for you to wake up, there’s a doe crossing the field” I woke up to a doe running across the Field.

Has anyone ever had anything happen like this?
I’m not a godly man but I believe in the lord, however the timber is my church.

You have an angel for sure. I would embrace it and just enjoy your dad's presence. It's a wonderful thing.

I haven't had anywhere near what you described, but I think pops was with me when the bullets was flying all around me. My mom always said "keep an eye in the sky for the eagle" that will be me. Have not seen one since her passing, but maybe she's waiting when I return to Montana.

Don't be afraid or afraid to talk to him. Evidently he's communicating with you. Enjoy it. Sarge

Exactly.

To the question of your post, yes, many times. Relax and trust your intuition. Don't let the naysayers get you down.

This won't last forever. Enjoy it while you can. Might even keep a journal to reflect on years from now.

Had something along the same lines. I don't question anything you say.

I believe we all have angels that walk with us and watch over us. Comforting if you ask me. I have no fear of strange events especially with beloved family or friends. Be glad you had that experience.

I sometimes hear Pop on the line, telling me to set over there, or go look under that back or along that fenceline.

I hear and feel MomMom when I am cooking and especially when baking, telling me to add more vanilla etc.

More than once I swear I hear my brother laughing when I am out fishing

I lost my best friend (liver cancer) while we were in our early 20s and a month or so later I had a dream that he appeared in my shop to say "everything is all right".

Wow. I needed this post.
This Thursday- 8-8-19- is the one year anniversary of my dad's passing. I haven't had a single dream or vision of him, but my sister has. I keep telling myself that she needs his messages more than me.
I miss him so bad.

When life gets me down..... you know hunting/trapping season is closed.

Thanks for sharing. Brought a tear to my eye. I've had similar stories.
Dd, sorry to hear about that anniversary, it's hard for sure. I think the first 2 years were the hardest for me when my dad died

I've had similar experiences regarding my mom. I still find them too personal to tell to many people, but they are encouraging.

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

Same here but I will tell one, when I was growing up I had a best friend and we would go fishing all the time together often with my Ma but that friend and me had been estranged for over 30 years and had not seen each other in that whole time but had reconciled and we took ourselves out to an old fishing spot we often went to with my Ma a place back in the woods a good hike from the road, while on the way back we decided to try cutting across county to save some walking and got turned around in the woods, when we realized we were lost we stopped and started talking stock to fix the direction we needed to head to get back to the parking spot

Plain as day heard a voice say trails to your right down past those oaks it’ll take you out in no time, I wasn’t the only one who heard it either my friend did as well, where we were standing was one of those open areas you get in the woods with no real place for someone to be without you seeing them, spooked my friend some because there was no one there but that voice was clear as day

This happened to me the night before last. I felt like someone shook my foot and I was waking up a friends voice who took his own life said to me " don't give up on my Essa" That was what he called his sister Jessie sometimes.

A couple weeks after my mom died I had one of the most vivid and powerful dreams I have ever had. In the dream my mom came to me and told me everything was going to be fine and things were very nice where she was at. She went on to tell me that she was staying in a place that very much reminded her of the farm house that my grandmother owned where my grandmother grew up as a child. The sense of euphoria I had while having that dream is hard for me to describe in words. The dream brought me peace and I will never forget it as long as I live.

Yes. Mother passed away in September. She always loved hummingbirds. For the next three springs, during turkey season. I would see a hummingbird mid morning before I got my turkey!

Never again though?

Amazing!
