A couple days ago on this site I accused a couple members of ad hominem attacks. There seemed to be some confusion on what an ad hominem is so I included this screen shot of its definition from Google. During an argument a ad hominem is basically an attack on the person instead of their ideas/beliefs. An example of an ad hominem is as follows

"I think we should reconsider the extended season on Otters"

Ad hominem response- "well your just a lefty liberal"

Now ill be the first to admit I have a 10th grade education and am average intelligence, I am not bringing this up to try and sound smart I just want us all to be better debaters so we can provide logical and sound arguments for wildlife management. "Metal sharpens metal" even when we disagree we should be trying to refine each others way we approach a argument in hopes we can provide a better united front against those who would remove arms and end effective use of natural resources.
