Anyone else seeing sick coon. I have had two in my yard this summer. Doesn't look good. I'm starting to think I should thin the population come season.

Probably distemper. Mother Nature takes care of them if we don’t. Been seeing plenty staggering down country roads in broad daylight. I’ve found when I encounter it the only coons that survive are the tough ol boars missing an ear or two. Will put the yoy coon right down.

My daughters niece was attacked by a gray fox as she was going onto the porch of their house a couple weeks ago. It was rabid. I have since learned of a farmer losing a cow to rabies in the area.

Saw a coon about a week or so ago at 1100. Not sure why it was out at that time but it did have a face full of porcupine quills. She didn't seem aggressive but I didn't her much time to be aggressive either.
