Am I the only one who absolutely refuses to buss them?

I've gotten to the point that I look to see if a regular lane is open. If all they have open is self check out with 2 to 4 people standing in front holding down the floor? Then game on! I grab a cart, fill it to the hilt with items from fridge, walk up to isles and ask one time if regular lane is open. If answer is no? Then I walk out.

Lol

Or maybe they started putting extra employees there to Cary perishable items back quickly when someone refused to do the stores job?

Maybe you should go to Aldi. They usually have a live human to check you out.

I have a tough enough time trying to bypass the debit option on the card taker at the cashier. I'm sure the store manager would ask me to leave if I attempted the self checkout.

Employees manage to ignore me throughout the rest of the store when I need them, why should they feel entitled at the checkout?

I jam the computer on a self checkout line@ Lowe's. You should see how many employees it takes to unjam it.

I use to just make them run it for me. It's much more fun to fill a cart to the top then leave it with the 2 to 4 employees standing there.

Me: You gonna open a lane up?

Them: no

Me: here you go

Them: silence

How do you jam the computer?

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

It's easy to jam a computer- just start pushing buttons 2 @ a time.

I hate self checkouts too. I have no desire to work at a grocery store. Late at night, when the lanes are closed, if I have a lot of groceries, I tell the employees to open a lane up. So far they have always opened a lane when I tell them to.

They told me the last running the lane was at break! I asked if I was supposed to wait on her? One actually told me I could. I'm not sure if she was taking me seriously or just messing with me? Didn't look smart enough to play any head games. So...

Apparently I'm the odd man out. I hate waiting in line while the checker has rambling conversations with customers while laboriously scanning and bagging items. All this is after trying to get around the "shoppers" who seem to need the cart as a walker while looking lost trying to decide if their butter should be salted or not.

I get to the self checkout and bingo, bango, bongo, I'm out of there.
