Why do you keep going there if you don't like it Brian-to check out the women?

I've found it's much quicker when I do it myself

I feel guilty giving someone's entry level job to a machine.

Last time at Wal-Mart I just walked out. Only had three line open, I should have grabbed a couple hand full on small candy to give them more to do. Wal-Mart is going down fast.

I refuse to bear more of their overhead.....unless I'm in a hurry or my kids do it.

I used to be against it. Went a stretch where that's all I could use though for whatever reason. When I finally went back to a human I quickly realized why stores are doing away with them.

Who remembers the full service grocer where you walked in and they would grab you everything you asked for?

I remember when self-service gas was a novelty, I never thought it would catch on.

I'm a fan of self checkout, easy to use and you don't have to talk to anyone

Love it even more at Walmart where I buy almost all my grocery except for meat and produce which I buy at the local mom and pop grocery in town

Lol I remember the first time I stopped in New Jersey for gas. Nearly got into a fight with the gas station attendant because its illegal to pump your own gas there. Felt real weird having some pump gas for me.

Brian you’re going out of your way just to be a dumb dumb. What would you do with all the groceries in the cart if they actually opened the lane for you? Doubt you could afford to pay for it.
I wouldn’t be surprised if you’re doing this to the store you’re trying to sell a dozen duck eggs to each month too.

Bunch of kids these days!

I’m all for self checkout. Speeds things up big time. And if you’re too dumb to check out your own groceries I hope you’re not talking about how dumb the workers at the checkout are.

Y'all complaining about self checkout sound like a bunch of baby boomer cry babies. Purposely "jamming" a checkout so the employees have to come fix it or leaving hundreds of dollars worth of perishable groceries in your cart because the employees don't respond favorably to your hissy fit? That'll teach em!

I worked in customer service for 5 years and rarely if ever had issues with what I would consider "younger" folks 30-35 and younger. It was the boomers and older that seemed to always have that holier than thou entitled attitude.

I had plenty of time to write this out because I used the self checkout tonight and was done checking out in a couple minutes while you were all stuck behind an old lady writing a check or counting out pennies and being harrassed to open a store credit card and told to take a survey about your shopping experience.

You're insane.

I dont find it fun to wait on people in lines at the stores. Especially don't need the nosy cashier's trying to figure out what your doing for the weekend...

groceries, maybe, depends on how much produce , But I never use it at home depot or lowes. seems like every time there is a bag or box or sheet of something that has no tag or won't scan and it takes longer for them to help me than going through a regular line

Went to taco bell the other day -- noone at the counter and all they had was a kiosk for placing your order-- finally someone wandered past the order desk so i asked if i had to use that thing. They said no and took my order, but i think my days of patronizing that business are numbered. I don' wait in lines or jump through lots of hoops to give a businesss my money -- they can earn it (at least a little bit).

They can speed up check out IF people don't have a lot to scan. Target & lowes near me have them and often I find those self check out lines often take longer. Lowes has 2 for just plastic money and 2 for both cash and card.

Where do most of y'all get your fuel from, doubt most places even have full service any more.

Do you walk around with a gas can all day long hoping some one will drive ya to some where where some one else will pump ya a gallon of gas, LOL so you can drive to that place to get your fuel from some one who will do it for ya LOL

What a bunch of babies, like your going to save a Whale or some thing, maybe a Tiger to, LOL ain't the 1900's any more !

If you need or want full service just buy your groceries on line and they will bring your groceries out to your car. You can order all other stuff online and pick it up at the tower.

One local Walmart has put in a electric recharge station, don't know how long it takes?
