I don't do self checkout. I avoid prepay gas stations also

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

Me too. I hate people. I can check myself out just fine and much faster than the robot at the register.

My wife does her grocery shopping online. She makes an order and they give her a time range when she can pick it up. She drives to the store, employees load her car and she's done. Never even has to go inside. And it's a free service.

Eh...wot?

You'll be out of luck around here unless you're friends with the station staff.

In the same time it takes to write a few posts on here, I can shop online and pick up my stuff at my chosen time. I don’t even have to enter the store. The only employee I see is the one that brings out my stuff and puts it in my vehicle. This is the best thing since waxed dirt! Before anyone says they don’t want someone touching his or her food, how do you think the stuff gets on the shelf? I used to despise grocery shopping; now it’s no problemo.

Sounds nice!

My wife does 98% of the grocery shopping. I should see if there's something around here that offers that. I've used the Walmart pick up and go but I still have to go in and I don't think it includes groceries. I just got Amazon a few months ago and love it. The savings in time and fuel are well worth the Prime membership.

Walmart does it with groceries Pike and my wife doesn't have to go in. That's who I'm talking about below. She loves the convenience of it.

She only gets certain items there. She likes to get her fruits, meats and veggies locally and likes to see them before she buys them.

What I find alarming about self-checkout is when the transaction needs to be approved because... fuel injector cleaner, paint stripper, etc. are being huffed, drank or whatever (scary). If I'm buying any of these products or spray paint, I go to a live person at a register.

I only use self checkout if I am only purchasing one or two items.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

What a bunch of cry babies. I always use the self checkout if they have them. I guess some on here are not smart enough to use them.

I hate it cause our Walmarks self checkout has absolutely NO place to sit ur groceries after u scan and bag them. So if you have a cart full...ya end up sitting them on the floor until u clear enough room in the cart.
Ive quit going there....Aldis it is !

if I only have a few items I have taken to self check out. heck even if I have more than a few items

Walmart now has scanner guns on the self check out I leave everything in the cart and just scan it and toss it to the other side of the cart the part that made me hate the self checkout was the stupid thing kept telling me about the bagging area the idem was in it that shouldn't be or to place the item in the bagging area.

the best is the grocery store I go too has a self check out in the Liqueur store I use it nearly every time because the people who frequent liqueur won't use it apparently 4 empty self checkouts and one clerk. heck the thing even takes the coupons I scan it tern around and ask the one live cashier to accept my coupons , some button they hit and I am out of there.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
