Just a note to showcase the work of our member “Muskrat”- I picked up this beaver he hooped for our cabin.
Mike does excellent work, all lashing is reinforced with leather grommets, authentic rendezvous style willow hoop- notice the attention to detail on the chewed ends of the hoop.
I would highly recommend Mike & Susan- great people to work with! www.RIVERINEFURTRADERS.com

I had the Beaver tanned at Tubari and they recommended specifying “ROUND” if you plan on a hoop.

I've got a bobcat I've been thinking of getting hooped along with a beaver pelt. Would a hooped cat look decent?

Done several. The important thing is cutting up the belly to take it from cased to open. That's got to be dead center or it won't look right on the hoop.
