They say when you see one, someone from heaven is visiting you, idk all I see is them sending my monarch caterpillars to heaven, I watched one pick up a caterpillar off my milkweed carry it to my grapevine support and eat it.
This makes at least 7-8 of mine I've had them eat in two years

Those cardinals can make a pretty good argument that the butterflies are their's.....not your's. Cardinals diet consists of only about 30% insects...rest is seeds. No worries.

I love cardinals. They are my favorite bird that comes to my feeders in the winter. They are mostly seed eaters.

Add the Brewers fans to the list of people that think Cardinals SUCK.

I see them every day at my feeders. If I don't see them I frequently hear their unique clicking calls. I love having them around. My family in Ohio calls them "Red Birds". I enjoy the Monarchs as well, but I don't think the Cardinals are that big a threat. I don't like crows or blue jays, but that's just me.

They make some pretty good fly tying material.

I don't get upset when birds or other animals do what they do naturally. Just a bird being a bird.

Bout the first day shift bird to start singing in the morning. I like having my first coffee on the deck being sung for by them.
